The D Screen’s simple design, operation and maintenance make it the ideal choice for reliable, stand-alone water filtration.
The D Screen is classed as a “brush screen” used in both municipal and industrial applications. It filters out solids (screenings) from wastewater preventing it from blocking drains, sewers, as well as polluting the rivers and streams. It works by wastewater falling through a perforated metal mesh screen which is brushed every 15 seconds by 4 adjustable brushes connected to arms within the drum. The screenings are automatically scraped out from the mesh by the brushes then collected and removed for processing and where possible recycling.
Our products are manufactured to sizes specific to each application. We do, however, modify our designs to fit a wide range of water treatment applications. Longwood Engineering have manufactured products suitable for diverse industries such as whisky distilleries and abattoirs.
Our innovative, design led manufacturing enables us to provide these kinds of bespoke solutions with speed, efficiency and flexibility for a range of markets. Why not contact us through the contact form or call us on 01484 424545 to discuss your project.
